The Davidson women's soccer team will honor its 2021 seniors prior to kickoff of Sunday's 4 p.m. home game with VMI at Alumni Stadium.
The senior class includes four-year starters Gretchen Pearson (midfield) and Katherine Smith (back), as well as contributors Emma Alitz, Sarah Harrington, Sydney Simmons and Carmen Wagner.
"Senior Day is always a special day at Davidson College," said head coach Adam Denton. "Even though this year is a little bit different, we still plan on celebrating a very special group of players."
The class of 2021 has helped the program change its trajectory, including with a breakthrough 8-8-3 season in 2019. It was the team's best since 2011.
"All of these players have had a significant impact on the culture and positivity within our team during the last four years and have helped us transition into a very difficult A-10 Conference," said Denton. "I hope each and every one of them enjoy their Senior Day, and I wish them all the best as they continue on to the next chapter of their lives after graduation."
The Wildcats are 1-1 this year, with a 1-0 win at Western Carolina and a 1-0 loss at Appalachian State.
