Wildcat Tidbits
- Unbeaten in three straight, Davidson enters the 2021 Atlantic 10 men's soccer tournament 9-6-2 overall following a pair of 1-0 shutouts to conclude the regular season.
- Still in search of their first tournament win since joining the league in 2014, the Wildcats are making their fourth appearance, including second under third-year head coach Mike Babst.
- Ironically, Davidson played at then-top-seeded Rhode Island in its last trip back in 2019.
- The Wildcats concluded conference play 3-3-2 and tied for sixth with Duquesne, but received the seventh seed due less points against common opponents.
- Vincent Bennage leads Davidson with seven goals, which is also fifth among A-10 leaders, while senior Henry Howell is just behind the freshman in total points with 13 (4G, 5A).
- Rhode Island, which enters as the second seed, is unbeaten in five of its last six and comes in with a record of 9-4-2 overall after a 3-1 setback at No. 4 Saint Louis last weekend.
- One of the league's top offensive threats, Patrick Agyemang, paces the Rams with 8 goals, 4 assists and 20 total points.
- Rhode Island's Stefan Schmidt is second among A-10 goalkeepers allowing just 0.81 goals per game.
- Davidson knocked off the Rams, 2-1, earlier this season when they came to Alumni Stadium ranked 20th in the nation.
