
Women's Cross Country Takes Fifth at Asics Invitational

FAIRBURN, Ga. - Davidson women's cross country placed fifth in a field of 25 teams at the Asics Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.
The Wildcats posted a total 142 points for the 5k race behind invitational-winner Samford, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Flagler.
Leading the way for the cats was Junior Kelsey Troutman who crossed the finish line at 19:02.69. Four of her teammates were close behind. Junior Alexis McDonnell finished in 28th place, stopping the clock at 19:11.88. Finishing just two seconds behind McDonnell was freshman Abby Nasse in 30th place with at time of 19:13.14. Sophomores Hallie Steward and Edie Smith finished in 33rd and 34th respectively, 0.3 seconds apart.
