HARRISONBURG, Va. — Daniel Valmassei's second-place finish in the men's one-meter dive highlighted Davidson's trip to James Madison's Duke Dog Invite this weekend.
A junior, Valmassei placed second in the 1M Saturday with a score of 308.10 points. His best dive was a front 2.5 pike, which earned 59 points.
On Sunday, Valmassei took third in the three-meter event with 288.20 points. Freshman Drew Sheldon finished fifth in the 3M and sixth in the 1M.
Freshman Liz Goei had the top finish for the Davidson women, reaching the 1M finals and finishing ninth.
