WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Three Davidson women combined to win seven events to highlight Saturday afternoon's swimming at William & Mary.
Junior Sarah Helen Shepherd won three individual events — for the second straight weekend — while freshmen Shelby Stanley and Abby Francis added two wins apiece.
A weekend after winning the 100-yard breaststroke, 200 backstroke and 400 individual medley at UNCW, Shepherd touched the wall first in the 100 breast (1:05.12), 200 back (2:03.04) and 200 IM against the Tribe. Her 200 IM time of 2:04.97 set the pool record.
Stanley swept the butterfly events, winning the 100 fly in 56.93 and the 200 fly in 2:05.67. Francis won the 50 freestyle (24.39) and 200 freestyle (1:54.80).
The Davidson men won two events over the Tribe. Walter Dauksher captured first in the 200 free in 1:42.76, as teammate Ian Hentenaar followed in second for a 1-2 Wildcats' finish. Wildcat Crossan Cooper won the 200 IM in 1:54.99.
