Women's T&F Opens A-10 Championship Saturday at UMass

AMHERST, Mass. – The Davidson women's track and field team sets their sites on the 2019 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5 at the UMass Track & Field Complex on the campus of the University of Massachusetts.

SEASON REWIND
- Senior Tori Long enters the championship in peak form after setting the 400-meter school record at the Duke Invitational with a time of 55.65 seconds.
- Freshman Anna Davis posted five of the top 10 times in program history in the 400-meter hurdles this season, entering the championship with a personal best of 1:03.10.
- Senior Caroline Yarbrough posted the third fastest 5k all-time at the Raleigh Relays, stopping the clock in 16:28.33.
- Senior Sophia Mills has steadily improved throughout her final season including a huge personal record-breaking performance in the 1500-meter run at the Charlotte Invite.
- The Wildcat 4x100-meter relay is in prime position for a solid performance at A-10's after nearly breaking the program record on three attempts.
2019 A-10 INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
- Davidson set five school records at the 2019 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship at George Mason.
- Caroline Yarbrough finished second in both the 3k and 5k including a personal best in the 3k, 9:40.97.
- Eleni Daughters stepped onto the final spot of the podium in the 800-meters in a competitive field.

- Sarah Sears '18 snapped the tape in both the 10k and 5k to pace the Wildcats to a sixth-place result at the 2018 Outdoor Championship at George Mason.
- Caroline Yarbrough took second behind her teammate in both distance events.
- Makayla Binter set the school record in the long jump, 18'4.5, and placed fifth with a new program best in the heptathlon, 4558.
- The 4x800-meter relay team of Eleni Daughters, Maddie Hunter, Sophia Mills, Claire Nieusma stood on the podium with a second-place result.
FINISHING STRONG
- Davidson senior Caroline Yarbrough enters the meet with 107 career points in Atlantic 10 Championships (indoor and outdoor) competition and looks to go out with bang! The Greensboro, N.C., natives lowest finish ever, fifth.
