Long Snaps Her Own Record as Women's T&F Competes at Duke Invite

DURHAM, N.C. – Davidson senior Tori Long reset her own school record in the 400-meter run in the final day of the Duke Invitational Saturday at Morris William Stadium.
Long crossed the line in 13th, stopping the clock in 55.82 seconds, nearly a second faster than her previous mark set in 2017 at the Atlantic 10 Championship. Freshman Bianca Nolde-Lopez notched a new personal best in the quarter mile with a time of 57.75 seconds.
Sophomore Eleni Daughters lowered her PR in the 800-meter run, stopping the clock in 2:11.72, the ninth best on the day. Freshman Anna Davis narrowly snapped her best in the 400-meter hurdles, stopping the clock in 1:03.10, good for 11th place.
Sophia Mills placed top-15 in the 1500-meter run in a field of over 100, stopping the clock in 4:33.62.
Freshman Marquia Humphries competed well in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.65 seconds.
The 'Cats ended the day with a fourth-place result in the 4x400-meter relay, racing the baton around the clock in 3:50.57.
Davidson next returns to the track Saturday, May 4 on the first day of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
