DAVIDSON, N.C. — Coming off its first Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship win Tuesday in the first round, Davidson will next face fourth-seeded Dayton Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. inside A.J. Palumbo Center on the campus of Duquesne University.
The Wildcats (17-13, 10-6 A-10), who earned the fifth seed, cruised to a 74-49 home win vs. 12th-seeded St. Bonaventure Tuesday and are seeking to avenge a defeat during the regular season against Dayton.
The Flyers (16-12, 10-6 A-10) are coming off a 65-38 win at home vs. La Salle Tuesday in their first round game. They have won their last two contests.

•The Atlantic 10 handed out its postseason awards Thursday and Davidson had three players earn honors: Sarah Donovan was named the league's Most Improved Player of the Year and earned a spot on the A-10 All-Second Team, while Justine Lyon was named the A-10 Sixth Woman of the Year as well as All-Third Team. Katie Turner joined Lyon on the league's All-Third Team.

•Justine Lyon became the 20th player in program history to reach 1,000 points last year and currently sits in 5th place all-time with 1,412. The senior also ranks in several other top-15 categories including: field goals/free throws made (9th, 515/5th, 289) and three-pointers (14th, 93).
•Kianna Speight has 132 career three-pointers for 9th-most all-time, while Katie Turner sits right behind her with 131 career three-pointers. Turner is also in the top-15 in assists with 235 (15th).
