JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.  — Junior Katie Turner tied a career-high with six three-pointers and Davidson forced East Tennessee State into 32.1 percent shooting to snap a two-game losing streak with a dominating 75-60 road win Saturday afternoon inside Brooks Gym in non-conference women's basketball action.

Turner finished with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting, all from long range, and sparked a 21-11 first quarter lead with two of those threes. Her fifth three-pointer to open the third quarter started a 14-5 run that opened the game up and got the Wildcats (5-3) back in the win column.

Leading 40-29 coming out of halftime, Davidson ran off the game-changing run (14-5) to open up a 20-point lead. It would outscore the Buccaneers 17-11 in the quarter and went on to lead by as many as 26 points the rest of the way.

Joining Turner in double figures was Sarah Donovan with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting and Suzi-Rose Deegan with 13 points. Chloe Welch filled the box score with eight points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Adelaide Fuller had six points and six rebounds.

The Bucs put three in double figures, led by E'Lease Stafford's 16 points. Micah Scheetz and Tijuana Kimbro had 12 and 11 points, respectively. ETSU shot just 18-of-56 from the floor and were forced into 15 turnovers which resulted in 18 points for the 'Cats.

Davidson shot over 50 percent for the second time this year, closing at 32-of-62 for 51.6 percent and registered a season-high 42 points in the paint.

Opening the game hitting their first six shots, including a pair of three-pointers, the Wildcats raced out to a 14-0 lead. They ended the first quarter at 9-of-14 from the field with eight assists for a 10-point advantage (21-11).

A Fuller mid-range jumper halfway through the second quarter pushed the lead to 30-17. ETSU responded with six straight to cut the deficit to seven, forcing a quick 30-second timeout by Davidson. Turner got things going again for the Wildcats though, hitting her third three-pointer to spark a quick 7-0 run for a 37-23 lead. The junior added one more three-pointer in the quarter and the 'Cats had a 40-29 led at the break.

The 'Cats close out their four-game road trip with a contest at High Point Monday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
