Abernathy's All-Rookie Run Highlights WXC at A-10 Champs

LEESBURG, Va. – Freshman Natalie Abernathy paced women's cross country at the Atlantic 10 Championship Saturday at Oatlands Plantation.
Abernathy placed 25th overall, traversing the 5k course in 18:56.9 in her first collegiate championship meet. For her efforts, Abernathy earned a spot on the A-10 All-Rookie Team. Senior Maddie Hunter was next for Davidson in the chute, placing 36th with a time of 19:07.1.
Senior Susannah Cate, freshman Alexis McDonnell and senior Paige McKinney rounded out the Wildcat scorers.
Davidson finished ninth with 236 points. La Salle won the team title ahead of George Washington and Dayton.
Davidson returns to the trails Friday, Nov. 15 at the NCAA Southeast Regionals.
