LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Davidson women's cross country team competed at the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic Saturday.
Leading the way for the 'Cats was senior Maddie Hunter. The Charlottesville, Va., native traversed the 5k course in 18:16.2. Freshman Natalie Abernathy was not far behind, entering the finishing chute in 18:24.5.
Davidson senior's Susannah Cate (18:38.6) and Paige McKinney (18:42.8) and sophomore Anna Katherine Kilby (18:55.7) rounded out the Wildcat scoring.
The 'Cats finished 23rd of 39 teams. Middle Tennessee State won the team title with 103 points, while Lipscomb (145) and Xavier (Ohio) (175) wrapped up the top three squads.
Davidson returns to the trails Friday, Oct. 11 at the Royals Cross Country Challenge.
