VILLANOVA, Pa. — Emma Coleman and Valerie Hajek scored Sunday afternoon, providing the highlights for the Davidson field hockey team in a 7-2 non-conference loss at Villanova.
With the loss, Davidson falls to 3-15 overall heading into next Friday's season finale against Richmond.
Coleman's goal, the second of the freshman's career, came in the 51st minute off an assist from Chloe Appleby. Hajek scored in the 56th minute on an assist from Grayson Buben. It's her fourth goal of the season, which ties her for the team lead with McGee Roman and Julia Smith.
For Villanova, Megan Vermeil scored two goals, including the first of the game in the seventh minute. Lydia Sydnor also scored two goals, while Abby Siana, Rachael Overlander and Suzie Clark had one apiece.

Davidson will host Richmond at 6 p.m. Friday at Belk Turf Field.
