Men's 4x400 Sets School Record at Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The 4x400-meter relay team set a new program record as the men's track and field team competed at the Gamecock Invitational Saturday at Kregger Track.
The relay team of Sean Caveney, Miles Hollimon, Jacob Hostetler and George Williams placed third overall with a time of 3:15.07.
"It was a great way to end this meet on a positive note," said head coach Renny Waldron. "We are scratching the surface in terms of what we think the 4x400 can do, but we are headed in the right direction. It was great to see our guys come together and compete well to the very end."
Junior Brady Logan took second in the shot put with a mark of 15.57m (51'1). Classmate George Williams stopped the clock in the 400m in 50.03 seconds, while sophomore William Wicks stopped the clock in 11.10 seconds in the 100m dash.
Davidson will split up Saturday, Apr. 14 with a squad heading to the Charlotte Invitational and another group of sprinters to the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn University.
