Men's T&F Competes at Charlotte Invite and Tiger Classic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Men's track and field sent split squads to the nearby Charlotte Invitational and down to the Tiger Track Classic hosted by Auburn University Saturday.
At the Tiger Classic, junior Jacob Hostetler set a new personal best in the 400-meters by nearly a second, stopping the clock in 48.08 seconds, good for ninth overall. Classmate Sean Caveney ran well in the 400m hurdles, taking fourth with a time of 53.20. Caveney and Hostetler joined Miles Hollimon and George Williams to take fifth in the 4x400m relay (3:17.29).
Back in Mecklenburg County, junior Brady Logan marked his best shot put throw of the season, 15.63-meters (51'3.5), to place fifth overall at the Charlotte Invite. Freshman Daniel Alvarez turned in the third best result in the 800m, stopping the clock in 1:55.34. Freshman Langston Stephens took fourth in the triple jump, marking a leap of 13.28m (43'7).
Davidson returns Friday, Apr. 20 for the opening day of the Duke Invitational.
