WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Davidson volleyball team will finish the season with a split against George Washington, as the host Colonials won Saturday's rematch 3-0.
 
Davidson, now 12-12 overall and 5-8 in the Atlantic 10, won the teams' first meeting 3-1 on Oct. 12.
 
Saturday, the Colonials won a tight first set 27-25, then posted a pair of 25-20 victories in the second and third to improve to 9-15 and 3-9.
 
Hattie Rodriguez led Davidson with 12 kills, and Ciera Cockrell chipped in with 11. Sydney Champaigne and Mason Rooney had 15 and 14 assists, respectively, and Josie Treadwell had 20 digs.
 
The Wildcats finished with a .213 hitting percentage and had a high of .316 in the first set.
 
Skylar Iott led the Colonials with 18 kills.
 
Up Next
Davidson has one regular season match left on the schedule. The Wildcats play at league leader VCU Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m.
