Wrestling Returns Home For A Pair Of SoCon Duals Friday and Saturday

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Davidson wrestling returns to Belk Arena Friday and Saturday night for a pair of Southern Conference duals against the Fighting Camels of Campbell and the Cougars of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.

Junior Aidan Conroy enters the weekend with the team lead in wins with 10. The 149-pounder has compiled a record of 10-9 this season including a 3-2 mark in dual action. Senior Konner Pritchard has been stellar since returning from a short winter break, going 5-2 in 2018 to move over .500 (8-7) at 197 pounds this season. One of his two losses came at the F&M Open against Campbell's Austin McNeill, a slim 2-0 decision defeat.
SCOUTING THE CAMELS
Campbell earned five grapplers in the initial coaches' panel rankings, announced by the NCAA. 125-pounder Korbin Meink ranks the highest at 23rd, while Nathan Boston, Quentin Perez, Andrew Morgan and Jere Heino all check-in in the top 30. Campbell is 1-0 in the SoCon after downing Gardner-Webb last weekend, 31-7.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Nate Higgins and Christian Dulaney pace the Cougars with 14 wins apiece. Higgins has built 14-6 record at 165 pounds, while Dulaney is 14-8 in the 197 pound class. SIUE is 3-11 overall and 1-2 in SoCon matches, defeating The Citadel for their lone league victory, 37-9.
