OLEAN, N.Y.  —  Junior shooting guard Kianna Speight drained a career-high 27 points in her first start of the season and Davidson nailed a season-high 10 three-pointers on its way to a 75-68 road win at St. Bonaventure Saturday afternoon inside the Reilly Center in Atlantic 10 play.

Davidson moved to 8-12 overall and 3-4 in league play, getting its first win in the series against the Bonnies (7-13, 2-5 A-10).

Speight, who was 9-of-14 from the floor, swished home a personal-best six of the three-pointers on 6-of-8 shooting and capped off her outstanding day by scoring the final four Wildcat points. Freshman Katie Turner hit the 10th triple, her third of the game, to give the Wildcats a commanding 71-59 lead with two minutes remaining.

Turner joined Speight in double figures with 11 points, while Mackenzie Latt had a great all-around game with 13 points, nine rebounds, a career-high tying six assists and two steals. She moved into fourth place all-time in scoring with 1,407 points.

Ally Welling finished with 10 points and Sarah Donovan came off the bench with nine points and a season-high 10 rebounds.

Four Bonnies reached double figures in points, paced by Arielle Harvey's 21. Danielle Migliore scored 13 points, while Jalisha Terry and Rhianna Council had 12 each. Emily Calabrese hauled in 10 rebounds. Season-leading scorer Mariah Ruff was held to nine points.

The Wildcats trailed 50-49 with under four minutes to go in the third quarter, but ended the quarter by scoring the final four points to go up 53-50. They carried that momentum into the fourth, opening up by scoring 15 of the first 22 points to go up 68-57 with 5:10 to go.

The lead would reach 12 twice in the quarter for Davidson before it closed out the win.

After trailing 8-0 to start the game, Davidson caught fire and ran off a 15-1 spurt behind three triples in a row, two from Turner, to go up 15-9. Two more three-balls in the quarter, including Latt's at the top of the key helped the 'Cats take a 23-15 lead to close the quarter.

Speight's third three-ball of the first half made it 33-23 with 3:16 left in the second quarter. The Bonnies kept close though by ending the quarter on a 9-3 run hitting two of its four three-pointers in the quarter during the spurt and Davidson led 36-32 at the break.

The 'Cats scored 20 points off of Bonnie turnovers and dished out a season-high 20 assists, while shooting a season-best 46.7 percent from the floor, including 10-for-18 from three-land.

Davidson will next be at home, hosting Massachusetts next Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

GAME NOTES: This was the fourth meeting all-time between both teams … the Bonnies hold a 3-1 lead … the Wildcats kept their double-digit assist streak alive at 11 with their 20 assists … it was the most assists in a game since dishing out 25 last year against Rhode Island (2/11/17) … the 10 three-pointers were the most since the 'Cats swished home 11 at Virginia, Dec. 28, 2014 … Davidson has had at least three players score in double figures in eight of the past nine games.
