• The Wildcats remained undefeated with a 2-1 win over Winthrop this past Saturday.
• After Cort Coxhead provided the equalizer midway through the second half, Louis Evans netted the game-winner off a long throw in from Jordan Hill with 4:58 to play.
• In addition, it was Evans' first career strike.
• Matt Reinikka and Coleman Richards continue to lead Davidson offensively with two goals each.
• Six different players have found the back of the net for the Wildcats through the first four contests.
• Coming off a 3-0 setback to Elon over the weekend, High Point enters 2-2-0 on the young season.
• Davidson leads the all-time series, 5-2-2.
• Up Next, Davidson will conclude its longest homestand of 2017 Friday when former SoCon rival Wofford visits 1992 Team Field.
Pregame Comments from Head Coach Matt Spear
"I am certain that EJ will have his team ready and excited to face Davidson -- we should expect every opponent's top effort. High Point recently led and pushed Duke to overtime, so the talent is there."
"But our focus is very much on ourselves. Winning is based on confidence which leans on preparations, so we are treating each day and game on its own opportunity to strive and peak performances individually and collectively. We do aim to get off to a better start than last match."
