DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Davidson women's soccer team will conclude their three-game homestand to start the year by hosting East Carolina this Friday, Aug. 25, at Alumni Stadium.

Davidson (1-1, 0-0 A-10) seeks to make it a winning homestand when it plays East Carolina (1-0) Friday night under the lights at 7 p.m. inside Alumni Stadium on the 1992 Team Field. The Wildcats split their first two games against Gardner-Webb and Wake Forest.

The first 100 Davidson students who come out to the game to cheer on the 'Cats will receive a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich.
The All-Time Series/Last Meetings ...
This will be the seventh meeting between both schools, with East Carolina having won the first six meetings in the series that dates back to 1997.
The 'Cats last played ECU in 2014 on the road, falling 2-0. The two teams also squared off in 2013 at Alumni Stadium, with the Pirates taking a 2-0 decision.

Cameron France, Michele Manceaux and Mia Hodges each scored a goal ... goalkeeper Kendall Thomas finished with one save and teamed with Becca Ravitz to earn the shutout win ... the Wildcats enter their fourth year in the A-10 ... Davidson is a combined 6-20-2 in its three years in the A-10 ... Seeley Yoo paced Davidson's offense last year with seven points on three goals and an assist ... ECU returns 15 letterwinners from the 2016 squad that went 5-12-1 overall and 1-7-1 in the American Athletic Conference ... the Pirates added 14 newcomers from six different states and three countries ... among the new additions is goalkeeper Michelle Newhouse, a graduate student who helped West Virginia reach the 2016 national title match ... East Carolina was picked to finish eighth in the American Athletic Conference ... ECU was only 2-6 on the road last year ... the Pirates return Annah Lindberg (4 goals), Courtney Cash (5 goals) and Marianna Shurina (2 goals), who combined for 11 goals and four assists last year ...
