Ritchie led the way for the 'Cats in the first two meets of the year placing fourth at the Charlotte Preview Meet and 26th at the Adidas XC Challenge.
PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
Back in late August the Wildcats were tabbed to finish seventh by the A-10 coaches as released in the 2017 Preseason Poll. Defending champs, Dayton, topped the poll, earning 178 points and seven first place votes. Duquesne, George Mason, Saint Louis and Saint Joseph's rounded out the top five teams.

Three A-10 foes in the Mid-Atlantic go back-to-back-to-back with George Washington (11), St. Joe's (12) and Duquesne (13), while St. Louis slips in at 13th in the Midwest.
