Men’s Cross Country Earns 2025 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the third straight season, the Davidson men's cross-country team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors with a cumulative GPA of 3.66 in 2025. This is tied for the 16th-best mark in all of NCAA Division I. The Wildcats hold the second-highest GPA in the Atlantic 10 and the best GPA in the Southeast Region. See full list HERE.
"Our scholar athletes never shy away from the academic challenge," said head cross country coach Andrew Allden. "It's a cultural and historical thing here with our program."
The recent history of the academic success really stands out. The men's cross country team at Davidson had the best team GPA for all sports during 2022-23 academic year. Whether it's a road trip or on campus, the 'Cats are constantly focused in the classroom.
"We'll be driving down the highway and the kids studying economics, for example, will see a business building and start talking about what economic theory that business potentially flushes out," said Coach Allden. "Our kids always have their laptops out during long bus rides."
To qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
