
Women's Track & Field Competes at the UNCG Duals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The women's track and field team squared off at the UNCG Duals Sunday afternoon at JDL Fast Track.
Junior Stephanie Hautmaa claimed top prize in the pole vault. The Castle Rock, Colo., native cleared 3.30 meters and did so with the least attempts to earn the individual victory.
After an impressive school record run at the BU Terrier Classic Friday, junior Sarah Sears claimed third in the 800-meter run, crossing the line in 2:15.32. Teammate Sierra Ponthier was not far behind, placing fifth overall in 2:17.66.
Freshman Katie Macturk landed in the top-five with a fifth place result in the mile run, crossing the line in 5:17.37. The Wildcats also placed Anna Memoli inside the top-five of the high jump. The junior leapt 1.53 meters overall. Freshman Jada Woods leap of 5.29 meters in the long jump also landed her fifth on the day.
Wildcat sophomore Tori Long took seventh in the 400-meter run with a time of 59.61 seconds. Freshman Jennifer Thompson was 18th with a time of 1:02.31.
Davidson returns to the track Friday, Feb. 3 back at JDL Fast Track for the Camel City Classic.
