DAVIDSON, N.C. — Coming off a very successful Spring this past season, head coach Sara Anundsen announced the signing of two incoming freshmen to add to a very success returning lineup for the Fall of 2016.
The Class of 2020 is Anundsen's third recruiting class since taking over the program in the summer of 2014. The Wildcats will welcome Alexandra Abele and Samantha Armas, who hail from Cincinnati, Ohio and Acworth, Ga.
In addition to the two incoming recruits, the Wildcats will welcome back nearly their entire starting lineup from this past season. They bring back five of their six singles starters, while two of their top three doubles teams return. In all, eight letterwinners return, including A-10 all-conference picks Anna Catharine Feaster, Ava Todd and Gabrielle Centenari, after finishing a very impressive 18-5 this past year and a perfect 6-0 in A-10 play. Davidson reached the league championship title match in just its second year in the league.
