DAVIDSON, N.C. – Coming off a fourth-place showing at the Atlantic 10 Match Play Championship, the Wildcats will host the 2016 Davidson College Invitational Feb. 29 – March 1 at River Run Country Club.
In addition to the host Wildcats, the seven-team field will feature Charlotte, Cleveland State, Gardner-Webb, Marshall, Queens and Radford.
The two-day / 54-hole event will begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start Monday morning. Following 36 holes on the opening day, Tuesday's final round will begin at 8:25 a.m.
Freshman Mike Blasey paced the Wildcats in the fall with a 73.50 stroke average. He was followed by senior David Sargent, who posted a 74.54 stroke average in four tournaments.
The event will be played on the Par 72, 7,208-yard River Run Country Club layout.
