Faulkner Off to Strong Start in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Highlighted by an opening round four-under 66, Davidson's Nate Faulkner sits tied for 22nd after 36 holes of the 2026 Tar Heel Intercollegiate hosted by the University of North Carolina.
Faulkner, who sat tied for third following his morning 18, which featured six birdies and just two bogeys, signed for a 73 in round two putting him just four shots outside the Top-5.
After posting a 72 in round one, Jackson Bode (+3) led the way for the Wildcats Saturday afternoon with a one-over 71.
Alexander Paschall (+6), Clayton Couey (+7) and Davis Sayman (+9) are also in the Davidson (+15) lineup this weekend.
The host and No. 11 Tar Heels lead the 16-team field at 29-under.
Grant Roscich (-11) of North Carolina and his teammate Nial Sheils Donegan (-9) are 1-2 on the individual leaderboard.
