2014-15: Selected to the all-conference squad… Appeared in a personal-best 10 tournaments as a junior… Finished second on the squad with a 74.75 stroke average… Posted eight rounds of par or better, including three-straight to conclude the season… Fired a season/career-low four-under 68 in round two of the ‘Cats spring opener… Placed tied for fifth at the A-10 Championship with a 54-hole total of one-under 215 (72-71-72)… Also recorded a Top-15 finish at the AutoTraders.com Collegiate Classic hosted by Georgia State.
2013-14: Appeared in seven tournaments… concluded the season with a personal-best 74.47 stroke average… posted five rounds of par or better… recorded his second career Top-10 finish with a ninth place showing at the 2014 SoCon Championship… carded a 54-hole total of 212 (73-69-70) at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate to come home tied for 23rd.
2012-13: Competed in eight of the Wildcats’ nine tournaments as a freshman… finished the season with a 77.10 stroke average… recorded two Top-15 finishes, including a sixth-place showing at the Davidson College Invitational… posted a season-low 73 in the opening round of the Mason Rudolph and again in round two of the Irish Creek Collegiate.
Before Davidson: Ranked 151st in the country by the American Junior Golf Association... took medalist honors at North Carolina’s U.S. Junior Sectional Qualifier to earn a place in the 2011 U.S. Junior Championship... also won the state qualifying tournament for the 2011 Callaway Junior World Golf Championship... tied for 20th at the 2011 North Carolina Men’s Amateur and tied for 13th in the 2011 AJGA Webb Simpson Championship.
Personal: Born May 29, 1994... son of Lee and Janet Sargent... has two older brothers, Trip and Matt.
