Season Preview
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson baseball team opens the 2016 season with a four-team tournament that features Marist, Buffalo and Air Force starting Friday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Field.
Davidson is coming off an impressive 2015 season as it finished with the second-most wins in program history with an overall record of 28-22.
The Wildcats finished fourth in their first season in the Atlantic 10, as it knocked off top-seeded Saint Louis in their first conference tournament appearance.
In the past two seasons, Davidson has put together its best two-year stretch in program history, compiling 57 victories.
The Wildcats return five starters from last year's squad, including Atlantic 10 All-Conference performers Lee Miller (First Team), Sam Foy (Second Team) and Alec Acosta (All-Rookie), while adding 14 newcomers to the team.
