DURHAM, N.C. – The Davidson golf team wrapped up their fall opener Sunday afternoon at the Rod Myers Invitational hosted by Duke University.
The two-day/54-hole event was played on the Par 72, 7,154-yard Duke University Golf Club layout.
This year's 14-team field featured Davidson, Duke, East Carolina, Kansas, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Maryland, Penn State, Liberty, Loyola MD, Tulsa, Wake Forest, UNCG and UNCW.
Wake Forest (288-279-295 = 862/-2) claimed the team title by a stroke over the host Blue Devils, while the Demon Deacons' Will Zalatoris (66-66-76 = 208/-8) held onto to his overnight lead to capture the individual championship.
