DAVIDSON, N.C. —  Freshman Ava Todd kept her personal singles win streak alive, but Davidson was unable to win its second league match in a row as the Wildcats fell Sunday afternoon to visiting Richmond 6-1 at the Convington Tennis Courts.

Playing its second match in as many days against an Atlantic 10 foe, the Wildcats dropped their first league match of the year to sit at 1-1 and 6-4 overall. The Spiders moved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in A-10 play.

The two schools were playing each other for the ninth time, and first since 2012, with Richmond now holding an 8-1 advantage after the win today.

Todd was solid again, winning her team-best ninth straight singles match for Davidson's lone point on the afternoon. The first-year player ran off a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 4 to push her overall record to 9-1 and remain perfect at 3-0 when playing the No. 4 spot.

The doubles duo of Anna Catharine Feaster and Ally Sexton won the lone doubles match for the 'Cats with an 8-5 decision at No. 2. They have a team-best 8-2 record on the season, including 7-2 at the No. 2 position.

Feaster was the closest to scoring another point in singles action, pushing her match to a third set before falling in the final set.

Davidson stays at home for a couple of A-10 matches next weekend, hosting George Washington and Saint Joseph's, March 14-15. Both matches are set for 10 a.m.
