GENEVA, Ohio – After a tremendous effort in the four-day postseason event, Davidson finished its inaugural Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships in sixth-place.
Luke Burton continued his torrid pace for Davidson with his first individual title in the speedy 200-yard backstroke. The junior was neck-and-neck with St. Bonaventure's Michael Pilyugin, but Burton pulled ahead to touch the wall first in 1:42.88, a mere 0.86 second faster, to set a new A-10 conference and record in the process.
To cap off the event, Davidson swam to a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The foursome of Burton, Cameron Bard, Colin MacKay and Brandon Kegley touched the wall in 3:00.20.
