'Cats Ready For Campbell and Coker Sunday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson wrestling team will wrap up its five-match homestand, Sunday when it plays host to Campbell and Coker at John M. Belk Arena.

Match 1: Davidson vs. Campbell – 1:00 p.m.
Match 2: Campbell vs. Coker – 2:30 p.m.
Match 3: Davidson vs. Coker – immediately following match 2

Headlock on Hunger
The Davidson wrestling team will be supporting Headlock on Hunger, an initiative that aims to help provide food for children who are dealing with hunger at home. The team will be collecting canned food at all home matches. At the end of the season, the food collected will be brought to the Southern Conference Championship.

About Davidson
Davidson will enter the match 4-13 overall and 0-4 in Southern Conference action. Senior captain Ian Solcz leads the team with 13 wins at 197 lbs. Nathaniel Powers has four falls on the season, while Scott Patrick owns a 7-1 record at 184 lbs., with a 3-0 mark in conference play.

Last Time Out
Seniors Anthony Elias, Scott Patrick and Ian Solcz all picked up wins at their respective weight classes, but it wasn't enough as Davidson fell to EIWA rival Sacred Heart, 32-10, Elias posted a 12-3 major decision over Timothy Johnson at 133 lbs., Patrick earned a 7-4 decision at 184 lbs., and Ian Solcz collected a 8-7 decision at 197 lbs.

Series History
Sunday's match will mark the 34^th dual meet between Davidson and Campbell. The Wildcats trail the all-time series, 5-29. The Wildcats last win against the Camels came Feb. 16, 2010 when Davidson earned a 23-21 victory. Davidson and Coker will meet for the first time in program history.
