Davidson Wrestling Concludes Midlands, Lock Haven Invites

Midlands Results | Lock Haven Invitational Results
The Davidson wrestling team finished out the 2014 portion of the schedule at the 51st Ken Kraft Midlands Championship and the First Citizens Community Bank LHU Invitational.
A trio of seniors competed at the Midlands in Evanston, Ill., while 14 other Wildcat wrestlers headed to the nine-team field at the Lock Haven Invitational.
Davidson returns to action Jan., 17 with a trip to the Anderson, S.C. The match is set for 2 p.m.
MIDLANDS
At 133 lbs., Anthony Elias earned a 10-5 decision over Missouri's Cole Baumartner in the second round. Elias fell to Jarrod Garnett of Lehigh Valley Athletic Club in the third round and Brance Simms of South Dakota State in the consolation round.
Scott Patrick wrestled at 184 lbs. The fifth-year senior dropped a hard fought 2-1 decision to Clint Morrison of Rider before falling to Illinois's Nikko Reyes in the consolation round.
Senior Ian Solcz opened Midlands with a loss to Harvard's James Fox before posting a 3-1 decision over Brown's Austin Pfarr in the consolation round three at 197 lbs.
LOCK HAVEN INVITATIONAL
14 Davidson wrestlers competed at the Lock Haven Invitational. Hofstra took home the team title, besting the nine-team field with 154 points. Lock Haven was second (136.5 points) and Clarion rounded out the top-three teams (83 points).
Patrick Devlin earned his first pin of the season at 165 lbs., taking down Ekow Eshun from Franklin & Marhsall at the 2:17 minute mark.
Konner Pritchard earned a hard fought 5-3 sudden victory over George Mason's Daniel Mika at 174 lbs.
