Carlee Schuhmacher chipped in 18 points (13 in the second half), getting nine of those during the game-changing run. Miah Spencer gave N.C. State three double-digit scorers with 14 points.

Davidson kept things close coming out of the break. A three-pointer by Early and then a Latt layup made it 43-42 with 17:42 on the clock. N.C. The Wolfpack finished off a13-0 scoring outburst and the 17-5 run to open the new half with a three-pointer to make it 56-42 with 13:58 remaining.

One last charge by the Wildcats got them within 10 at 66-56 on a Latt bucket inside with 4:42 left. Dukes and Timpton scored four each prior to Latts' bucket to help bring the 'Cats within striking distance.

Brown though helped seal the win by scoring eight of the next 12 N.C. State points to make it 78-62 with 1:32 remaining.

The first half went back and forth, capped off by a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Brown to give the Wolfpack a 39-37 lead. Brown and her backcourt teammate Spencer combined for 23 points and hit all five of N.C. State's first-half three-pointers.
