- The Davidson field hockey team will welcome Atlantic 10-foe Lock Haven to Belk Turf Field Saturday Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
 
About Davidson
The Wildcats (2-10, 1-2 A-10) dropped a close 2-1 decision to James Madison in a midweek matchup Wednesday night.  Becca Jones leads Davidson with eight points on three goals and two assists, while Katherine English has registered five points (two goals, one assist). Eight Wildcats have contributed a goal or an assist this season.

Last Time Out
Dodi Allocca had the lone goal as the Wildcats fell to James Madison, 2-1 on Wednesday night. Davidson was awarded a penalty stroke and the rookie buried the ball to the left side of the cage to cut the deficit to one. Emily Leytham steered away nine shots on the night, while giving up two.
 
It's Leytham's Cage
Emily Leytham has been tough to beat in the Davidson cage this season. The junior ranks among the leagues best in two categories, including saves per game (7.80, 1st), while owning a .796 save percentage, good for third in the conference and seventh in the country.
 
Herder to the Rescue
Senior co-captain Madeline Herder has recorded a career-high four defensive saves. The defender ranks first in the conference and fifth in the country with an average of 0.40 defensive saves per game.
 
About Lock Haven (7-5, 2-1)
The Lady Eagles enter the weekend with a 7-5 overall record and a 2-1 mark in A-10 play. Lock Haven most recently fell at Rider University, 2-1. The Lady Eagle's offense is scoring 2.73 goals per game to rank second in the conference.
 
Lock Haven is led by Nakira Downes who has registered five goals and six assists, while Lydia George has six goals and two assists. Elaina White has seen the majority of time in the net for the Lady Eagles, owning a .655 save percentage. White has registered two shutouts to rank tied for third in the A-10.

Davidson will travel to Farmville, Va., to take on Longwood Monday, Oct. 13 at 3 p.m.
