CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior Andrew Lantz and senior Vincent Weir represented Davidson men's track & field at the Virginia Challenge Saturday evening at Lannigan Field.
Lantz placed 29th in 3 minutes, 50.45 seconds in the 1500-meter run. He was looking to improve upon his school-record time of 3:47.55, which ranked 76th in the NCAA East Region entering the evening.
Weir competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing 14th in 9:30.52. Weir was looking to improve upon his school-record time of 9:08.72, which ranked 66th in the East.
The Top 48 declared student-athletes qualify for the NCAA East Region meet, and this is the final weekend of the track and field regular season. The NCAA Regional fields will be announced Thursday, May 16.
