DAVIDSON, N.C. — The Wildcats wrap up their longest homestand since the 1998-99 campaign Saturday, December 28, when they play host for the first time to the Richmond Spiders at 2 p.m. in John M. Belk Arena.
Davidson is coming off a seven-day break for Christmas and will be playing just its second game in a 19-day span. Prior to the long break, the 'Cats had played three games vs. Rutgers, Wofford and Furman in a six-day stretch.
Game Notes: Quick Hits ...
•Davidson wraps up its six-game homestand with a first-time matchup against Richmond Saturday.
•The 'Cats are 3-2 so far during the homestand, winning vs. Gardner-Webb, Wofford and Furman.
•Davidson has won 66 of its past 90 games at John M. Belk Arena.
•Head coach Michele Savage enters her fourth year at Davidson (63-47, 43-19 SoCon).
Last Game Out vs. Charlotte ...
•After a 12-day break, Davidson hosted cross-county rival Charlotte, Dec. 21, coming out on the wrong end of a 76-60 decision. It was the Wildcats' fifth straight loss in the series.
•Davidson had used a 16-3 run at the end of the first half to get back in the game, but saw Charlotte use a 14-3 run to take control after the 'Cats took a one-point lead (34-33) to start the second half.
•Laura Murray had her third straight 20-point game, scoring a game-best 23.
•Dakota Dukes recorded her fourth double-double of the season on 16 points and 10 rebounds.
•Shneeka Center chipped in 15 off the bench, giving her 16 career double-digit scoring games.
•Charlotte shot 56 percent in the second half and outscored the Wildcats 45-31.

•The senior has scored 20 or more points in four of the five games so far.

•Richmond fell to 5-7 after an 0-2 trip to California as it played in the Long Beach Classic at Long Beach State.
•The Spiders fell 73-61 to host LBSU and then dropped a heartbreaker to Pacific, 59-57.
•Olivia Healy had 20 points and 12 rebounds in the defeat to Pacific and was named to the all-tournament team. She had nine points, six rebounds and four steals vs. Long Beach State.
•Genevieve Okoro paces the Spider scoring at 12.1 points per game. Healy is at 11.5 per game.
•The Spiders are scoring close to 65 points a game, but allowing 66 and giving up 43 rebounds.
