Lantz Ties Own Davidson Record in 800m

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Davidson men's track and field sophomore Andrew Lantz tied his own 800-meter school record at the Virginia Challenge Saturday at the University of Virginia's Lannigan Field, placing 10th in 1:50.87.
Lantz was joined by teammate junior Demetrios Pagonis at the meet, who placed 12th in the 5000-meter run in 14:26.42.
Both were seeking to improve their times in order to earn bids to the NCAA Regionals. Senior Ryan Hopkins has the best chance to represent Davidson, competing in the 10,000-meter run. The NCAA Regional field will be announced Thursday.
