Volleyball to Host Georgia Southern on Monday

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Wildcat volleyball team will look to knock off one of the SoCon's top teams when they host the Georgia Southern Eagles, who have suffered just one conference loss, on Monday evening at Belk Arena. The match is set for 6 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY
The Wildcats and Eagles will meet for the 39th time since 1992 on Monday. Georgia Southern enters the game with the 23-15 series lead and took both of last year's matches by scores of 3-0.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Georgia Southern enters the contest with a 13-6 overall record and a 4-1 mark in Southern Conference action. Their lone loss of the season came last weekend at the hands of the College of Charleston, who downed the Eagles 3-0. GSU is coming off of a 3-1 win at Appalachian State on Saturday, led by Crysten Curry and Kym Coley's nine kills apiece.
AND THE 'CATS…
Davidson moved to 7-8 on the season and 3-2 in the SoCon with a 3-0 win over Western Carolina in Cullowhee on Saturday. Caroline Brown had 17 kills, 23 digs and a block, while Hannah Rau hit an impressive .429 on the day with six kills and two block assists.
FAST APPROACHING
Senior libero Molly Crenshaw has quickly moved into the record books this season. With 1,460 career digs she sits just eight digs shy of surpassing Tamara Gallen for fifth place in Davidson history.
CRENSHAW, SEWELL IN NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Wildcats currently rank 56th overall in NCAA Division I with 16.51 digs per set this season. They are led by Crenshaw, who ranks 86th with 4.73 digs per set. Teammate Tindall Sewell also broke into the national rankings in hitting percentage. Sewell, who led the nation last season, is currently 81st with an attacking percentage of .348.
