DAVIDSON, N.C. — Davidson quickly turns around after playing Samford on Saturday and will host Chattanooga in a key Southern Conference tilt on Monday night at John M. Belk Arena in women's basketball action.

Chattanooga leads the SoCon standings at 8-1, while Davidson is closely behind at 7-2.

The Opening Tip
Davidson (11-7, 7-2 SoCon) hopes to start a new home win streak after getting it snapped on Saturday vs. Samford by playing host to the Chattanooga Mocs (13-5, 8-1 SoCon) on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m.

The game is the second of a three-game homestand for the Wildcats, who will also host Furman, Jan. 30.

The All-Time Series/Last Meeting ...
... is 29-8 in favor of Chattanooga after the Mocs captured both meetings a year ago. The Wildcats have dropped 24 of the last 25 games against Chattanooga, with the lone win coming at Belk Arena (89-80) during 2008-09 season.

Last year at home vs. UTC, Davidson lost a heart-breaker when with less than a second left in regulation, Chattanooga's Bailey Dewart buried a game-winning three-pointer to send the Mocs to a 54-51 win. Sophia Aleksandravicius poured in 16 points and hauled in eight boards, to go along with three blocks and three steals. Laura Murray also clipped the double-digit mark with a game-high tying 17 points.

Game Notes...
Home Win Streak Halted by Samford
Davidson's run of its home win streak to start the season came to an end at seven straight after suffering a 73-65 defeat to Samford, Jan. 21. The 7-0 start at home was the best start at home to surpass the 1996-97 team that won its first six straight home contests. The overall win streak was eight dating back to the last game of the 2010-11 campaign.

The longest home win streak overall was set by the 1998-99 team, which rattled off a nine-game streak.

SoCon Double-Figure Streak Reaches 14 for Murray
Sophomore Laura Murray kept her streak of scoring in double figures during the regular season vs. Southern Conference foes intact when she dropped in a team-best 21 points vs. Samford, Jan. 21.

The shooting guard started the streak last year in Chattanooga and closed the year with five straight double-digit scoring games, including a 23-point effort vs. Georgia Southern. This year has seen her hit the 20-mark three times now in games vs. Elon, at Furman and vs. Samford.

Double Figure Streak Reaches 10 For Aleksandravicius
Sophia Aleksandravicius saw her streak scoring 10 or more points reach 11 at home vs. Samford, Jan. 21. She registered 12 points to go with three blocks.

The streak started in December vs. Western Carolina when she went off for 20 points and nine rebounds to lead Davidson to a SoCon-opening win. During the stretch, the junior has had five double-doubles, including three straight at one time, and hit the 20-point mark twice.

As a sophomore, Aleksandravicius had a 13-game stretch of scoring in double figures with four games of 20-plus points.

Seeing Double Again
For the seventh time this year, third straight game and 26th time overall for her career, Sophia Aleksandravicius tallied a double-double as she picked up 17 points and a career-high 20 rebounds in a road win at Appalachian State, Jan. 15.
Her double-double games this year:
