DAVIDSON, N.C. —
The Wildcats hope their fourth home game brings them their first win of the 2011 season when they play host to Robert Morris in women's Lacrosse on Wednesday at Richardson Stadium.

Davidson will also welcome La Salle (2-2) on Friday night. The Explorers play at Presbyterian on Wednesday before visiting Davidson.

The Opening Draw Control
Davidson (0-5) continues its early season stretch of playing six of its first eight games at home when it hosts Robert Morris (1-1) on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in Richardson Stadium on the new FieldTurf.

The All-Time Series/Last Meeting
The Wildcats lead the series 2-1, which dates back to 2006. The last meeting took place in 2008 when the 'Cats scored a 6-5 neutral site win, one of a school-record 11 victories that year.

In that game, Haley Cook and Callie Seymour led the Wildcats with two goals each and senior goalie Lauren Johnson tallied her fourth win of the season between the pipes with 12 saves.

Davidson, trailing 3-1, took charge by going on a four-goal run to close out the first half and grab a 5-3 lead heading into halftime.

Last Time Out...
... Davidson — Freshman Ann Fucigna netted a season-best five goals and picked up a team season-high six points, but it was not enough to offset five Lafayette players who scored multiple goals in giving the Leopards an 11-8 win over Davidson last Saturday.

Fucigna was perfect on all five of her shots, including a pair of free-position shots, finding the back of the net with each one. She tacked on her third assist of the season, and second in a row in the last two games.

The freshman tried to help erase a 5-3 halftime deficit with three second-half goals, including the first one of the half that got Davidson to within one, 5-4, which turned out to be the closest the Wildcats would get the rest of the way.

Alanna Parker pushed her consecutive goal streak to 13 games with a pair of scores, while Erin Doherty found the back of the net for the fourth time this year.

Davidson got on the board first with two goals in the opening eight minutes of the first half. But, Lafayette countered with a 4-0 run to take the lead for good at 4-2 and Davidson played catch-up the rest of the game.

... Robert Morris — The Robert Morris University women's lacrosse fell in its home opener Saturday against Navy, 16-5. The Colonials  put together a strong second half for the second time in two games but it was not enough to rally past the Midshipman, who netted 10 first half goals. Cara Hernandez led the Colonials offensively with a pair of second-half goals.

Kaitlin Pentz posted six saves in net in just the second game of her college career.

Robert Morris posted solid clear attempt numbers going 11-for-13 on clears. The Colonials also won the ground ball battle picking up 15.
