DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson fell short in its bid to halt College of Charleston's league win streak, falling by the score of 5-2 on Saturday morning at the Covington Tennis Courts in Southern Conference women's tennis action.

CofC remained undefeated in league matches with a 5-0 mark, while moving to 12-8 overall. Davidson fell to 8-5 overall and 1-2 in the SoCon. The 'Cats wrapped up a four-match homestand as they sit at 5-4 on the season on their home courts.

The Wildcats were swept in all three doubles matches to start things off. Alison Rauh and Stephani Synn saw their two-match win streak halted after an 8-5 defeat at No. 2, while the 'Cats other two doubles teams fell by the scores of 8-3 at No. 1 and 8-1 at No. 3.

Synn and Rauh made it a winning day with a pair of singles wins, but the Cougars captured wins at four of the other positions to earn the league win. Synn ran her team-best singles mark to 9-1 and 2-0 in SoCon matches with a 6-2, 6-4 triumph over Kinsey Casey at No. 3. The sophomore was playing her first match of the season at the No. 3 spot.

Rauh took home a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 victory at No. 4 over Irene Viana for her sixth singles win of the season and second league win.

Davidson takes to the road on Mar. 25 for its fourth SoCon match, playing Appalachian State at 3 p.m.
