DAVIDSON, N.C. – A Davidson men's soccer match will be telecast live nationally Friday night at 8 p.m. as the Wildcats' match at defending Southern Conference champion Wofford will air on Fox Soccer Channel as part the NSCAA College Game of the Week series.
“The broadcast will be a tremendous platform for this year's team, for our soccer alumni, and for the whole Davidson family,” said Davidson head coach Matt Spear. “We are extremely excited to join Wofford and to represent the Southern Conference on national television. Plus, we gratefully thank Wofford for all of their efforts as hosts.”
Davidson (4-4-3, 0-2-0) has faced one of the most challenging slates in the Southern Conference to date and has been paced by senior midfielder Alex Caskey. Caskey (12 points) is tied for the league lead in points scored after tallying five goals and a pair of assists.
Wofford (1-5-2, 0-1-0) is led by senior Wilson Hood, who has tallied a team-best three goals and seven points on the season.

He will be joined in the booth by color commentator Keith Tabatznik, who recorded 220 career wins in 22 years as men's soccer coach at Georgetown University. Former Davidson head coach Charlie Slagle will report from the sidelines. Slagle's son, Barry Slagle, is an assistant coach for Wofford.
