
Colley's Record-Breaking Performance Highlights Indoor SoCon Championships for Wildcat Women

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Seniors Kim Colley and Kittery Neale combined to set three school records to lead the Davidson Wildcat women's track and field team at the 2009 Southern Conference Championships this weekend.
Colley ran a 7.91 in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash, bettering her own all-time best of 7.99 from earlier this season. She also rewrote her own standard in the 200 meters with a time of 25.91, better than the 26.26 she ran earlier this season.
Neale, a standout on the Wildcat volleyball team, competed for the Wildcats in the shot put, setting the school record in her first competition. Neale finished with a throw of 11.86 meters (38-11.00), first in her flight and sixth overall.
Kennesia Martin posted a mark of 11.26 meters (36-11.50) in the triple jump, just shy of her school-record 11.28 from the 2006 championships.
The Wildcats finished in ninth place. The Appalachian State Mountaineers' swept the men's and women's competition. The title is the 16th overall for the ASU men and the 14th overall for the Mountaineer women.
