
Davidson Picks Up 29-14 Win in Regular Season Finale

PITTSBURGH, PA. - In the final match of the regular season, the Davidson wrestling team took home a 29-14 victory at Duquesne on Sunday afternoon at the Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The Wildcats picked up three pins on the day, with Alex Radsky dropping his opponent at 133 in 2:24 to begin the scoring for Davidson. He was followed by his brother, Vitaly Radsky, who took a 15-9 decision at 141, giving the 'Cats an early 9-4 lead.
Freshman David DeCamp continued his strong first year in the Red and Black, pinning Duquesne's Josh Pascazi 2:58 into the match to open up a 15-4 advantage for Davidson.
The 'Cats' third pin of the contest came at 165 by Tyler Mullen, stretching the team's overall lead to 21-7, a margin that moved to 15 points when reigning Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week Sam O'Hair recorded an 18-3 technical fall victory at 184.
In the final match of the day, junior Charlie Wolff went to three overtimes on the way to his 6-2 decision at 285, giving the 'Cats their final 29-14 winning margin.
Davidson will now turn their sights to the 2009 Southern Conference?Championships, which will kick off on March 7 on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
