2009-10: Won Southern Conference championship at 133 pounds by defeating Chattanooga’s Josh Statum, 3-2, with a third-period takedown ... became Davidson’s first SoCon Champion in 41 years and first NCAA Championship representative in 11 years … competed at NCAA Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb., going 0-2 ... qualified for USA Wrestling World Team Trials following the season … entered SoCon tourney as a No. 2 seed, earning a first-round bye ... defeated Angel Garcia (UNC Greensboro), 11-8, in the semifinals to advance ... posted a career-best 17-6 overall record, 12-4 dual record and 3-2 conference record ... built a 10-match winning streak that began with a win over UNCG’s Casey Boyle on Jan. 27 ... streak included three conference dual matches and two conference tournament wins ... also includes three major decisions and a fall ... winning percentage of .739 ranks as the eighth-best season mark in Davidson history and leads the team ... ranked third on the team in total wins 17 ... totaled thir¬d-most dual points with 48 ... made season-debut Dec. 2 at Duke, dropping a 5-7 decision to Nico Cortese ... followed by winning the Davidson Open (3-0) Dec. 5.

: Saw action in 29 matches on the year, all coming at 133 ... Scored a team-high 39 dual meet points, courtesy of a 9-9 dual record and two pins ... Recorded 13 wins on the season, tied for third-most on the squad ... Picked up a pair of SoCon victories against VMI and The Citadel ... Took third place at 133 in the SoCon Tournament, which included a win over the No. 2 seed in the bracket ... Finished the regular season with four-straight dual meet wins, including a pin in the regular season finale.

8: Competed in 29 matches for the Wildcats with 27 coming in the 133-pound weight class… scored 21 points in dual meets, which tied for the fifth most on the team… went 2-2 in the Davidson Open… collected two pins in dual meets against Princeton and Messiah.

Prep Years: Two-time district qualifier and a state qualifier once while earning four letters for Dennis Lyberger at Thomas Worthington High School… placed third in sectionals and sixth at districts en route to a 42-3 record at 119 as a senior… named team Co-Most Valuable Wrestler as a senior… posted a 110-37 career record… also lettered in soccer and cross country… earned Academic All-Ohio honors.

Born June 12, 1988, in Odessa, Ukraine… the son of Slava and Ellen… has a twin brother, Vitaly, who also wrestles at Davidson… plans to major in history.
