
Lane and Buttermore Repeat as CCSA Divers of the Week

DAVIDSON, N.C. — For outstanding individual performances against William & Mary this weekend, junior Linnea Buttermore and freshman Ben Lane have been named CCSA Women's and Men's Diver of the Week for a second straight week, for meets competed Nov. 3-9, as selected by the league office.
Buttermore finished second in the 1-meter optionals with a score of 228.08 against William & Mary. She also received the weekly honor for the week of Nov. 2 after winning the 1-meter dive with a score of 202.50 and finishing second on the 3-meter board against the Emory Eagles.
Lane earned his second consecutive Diver of the Week award after winning the 1-meter diving event with a score of 279.08. He took the honor for the week of Nov. 2 after setting a new school record in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 315.30 against Emory.
Campbell's Heidi Shallow was named CCSA Women's Swimmer of the Week, leading the Camels with five individual first-place finishes and two second-place relay finishes, and the College of Charleston's Randy Buchanan was named Men's Swimmer of the Week, after winning three individual races at the Campbell Duals.
Also nominated for men's Swimmer of the Week: Geoffrey Peitz (Davidson).
Also nominated for women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week: Lindsey Martin (Davidson), Sara Gardocki (College of Charleston), Susan MacGilligvray (College of Charleston), LynAnn Nelson (North Florida) and Alexis Butner (Radford).
Junior Nate Ladner, sophomore Anna Stringfield and senior Stephannie McKinney were awarded the weekly honors after the Wildcats' wins over the College of Charleston for the week of Oct. 25. Along with Lane and Buttermore, freshman Geoff Peitz received a weekly CCSA honor, being named Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Nov. 2.
