CLARION, Pa. - Ben Altman, Alex Radsky, Trebor Clavette and Sam O'Hair posted victories in their respective weight classes, but the Davidson wrestling team fell 31-14 at Clarion in the Wildcats' first dual meet of the season Wednesday night.
The Wildcats drop to 0-1 on the season, while Clarion moves to 6-7.
Altman scored a 16-0 technical fall over Andrew Smith at 125, and Radsky earned a 6-4 overtime decision over Rob LaBrake at 133.
The 'Cats wouldn't score again until Clavette took the mat at 174. The senior took a 2-1 decision over Mario Morelli. O'Hair followed that performance with a 9-3 decision over Scott Joseph.
But that was all the points Davidson could muster as the 'Cats suffered losses at 197 and in the heavyweight class.
Davidson is back in action Saturday, Jan. 12, as the Wildcats take on Duke and Princeton in a tri-match at the historic New York Athletic Club in New York City. The action is set to begin at 5 p.m.
