The top assistant with the Davidson women’s basketball team is Stephanie Roe, who handles a wide variety of tasks for the Wildcat program.
“She’s does a great job in her role on the staff,” said Coach Watts.
Roe, entering her sixth year with Davidson, works with the guards in their development on the basketball court.
Roe is the director for the summer basketball camps, and coordinates the “Guest Coach” program. She also handles the purchase of team equipment.
“It’s a pleasure to work with a group of young ladies that are dedicated to winning a SoCon title,” acknowledged Roe. “Year after year, these players continue to raise the bar for Davidson basketball.”
Prior to Davidson, Roe served three seasons as a student assistant basketball coach for Lander University. During her time with the Bearcats, Lander broke the record for most school wins, won the Peach Belt Athletic Conference Tournament and made two trips to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
A psychology major, Roe earned her bachelor of science degree from Lander in May of 2002.
