Peyton Ehmke joined the Davidson volleyball staff in August 2023.

Ehmke, a five-year starter for George Mason, appeared in 127 matches in her career and started in 71 consecutive contests over her final three seasons. A middle blocker out of San Clemente, Calif., she set a career-high .258 attacking percentage during her fifth year, while totaling 101 blocks and averaging 0.94 per set, good for top-10 among the A-10.

"I'm excited to add Peyton to our staff this fall," Willis said. "I enjoyed watching her compete for five years with George Mason and her familiarity with the conference will help her get up to speed quickly. She is passionate about the game and has a mindset for learning, while her ability to connect with our scholar-athletes will help her have an immediate impact on our program."

At the conclusion of her fifth season, Ehmke served as a graduate assistant coach throughout the remainder of the school year, working with the Patriots from the sidelines. In May 2023, she earned her Master of Science in Sport & Recreation Studies, with a concentration in Sports Management, and completed her bachelor's degree in Health, Fitness & Recreation Resources in May of 2022.
