Jessica Miller is in her third season as an assistant coach for the Davidson Wildcat swimming and diving program.
Miller takes the lead in training Davidson’s impressive group of distance swimmers and heads up recruiting efforts. In her first season, she saw the Wildcat program attract talented classes of 10 women and four men, respectively. Miller is also responsible for the majority of competition logistics.
“Jessica’s talents as a coach and mentor to our athletes, and as the glue that holds our office together, are remarkable and appreciated” Young said. “We are lucky to have her here, helping us to be a better team.”
Prior to coming to Davidson, Miller served a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa, where she was responsible primarily for recruiting and the training program, with a focus on distance swimmers.
She also spent six seasons with the Northern Virginia Swim League, leading her team to a division championship in 2002. In 2003, she was named the NVSL Coach of the Year.
A 2004 graduate of Old Dominion, Miller was a four-year letterwinner in the breaststroke and distance freestyle events and a four-year CAA finalist in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
